I am a sociologist specializing in poverty, public policy, social inequalities, race, religion, and politics, with expertise in survey research and quantitative analysis. My research explores how social factors shape perceptions of poverty, the policies designed to address it, and the effectiveness of public opinion measures.

Current Project

I received a research grant from the Midwest Sociological Society to study Protestant Christian perspectives about what causes poverty and how it should be addressed in the United States. I am actively seeking participants to take a short survey and then take part in a 30–60 minute interview. Participants will receive a $25 gift card as compensation.
